The Womens board of the Joffrey balletCouture and Cocktails” was a hit! Host and chairman Candace Jordan was looking fab in Michael Kors while giving rapper Diddy a run for the money in the bling-bling department with stunning diamonds from sponsor Van Cleef and Arpels.

Spotted on the scene: D. Graham Kostic of CS Magazine showing off his new designer boots from a recent shopping spree. Helen Melchior wearing a beautiful long Maria Pinto evening gown. And my favorite MC Kid Sister and her ‘Aunt Rose‘ were there. Her auntie is such a sweet heart and gave me all the dirt on Kid Sister growing up.

Susanna Homan was simple and elegant as usual in her favorite designer –Prada (I think she has a deal with them?) and when I took a chance and tried to poke her about the V.I.P. launch of Michigan Avenue Magazine on Saturday she was more tight-lipped than a F.B.I. agent! And the best dressed male of the night, drum roll please…. Marty Higgins of the Penninsula, his suit was impeccable!

Now, this event was really full of highlights from the silent auction, great food (root beer floats), the all-white decor and the Maria Pinto fashion show, but the one that knocked my socks off was meeting 90210 guest co-host and super hottie Ryan Eggold. The actor/singer of the new CW series hit has many talents. Besides his good looks, he also has a band and is currently in the studio recording new material! The up and coming star will not only melt your heart by taking of his shirt but by also singing to you naked in bed……need I say more?

Special kudos goes to the event fashion show producer Lisa Marie McComb. The Maria Pinto fall 2008 collection dazzled and not only loosened up the crowd but the the great music (that she downloaded at 2 am the morning before) turned Joffrey Tower into the most exclusive nightclub in CHICAGO! People of all ages got up on the runway, cranked up the music and got down (Amanda Puck, Kim Crompton)! It was a GREAT evening and the best part was, it wasn’t overdone! It was simple in essence, yet very, very glam!

Candace, I can’t wait for next year!

Horseshoe Casino’s grand opening was HOT, with a special performance by DIVA herself Bette Midler! And if that wasn’t enough there were plenty of celebs to go around! *wink*

Tara Reid was either very “sleepy” or just a little tipsy upon her arrival on the red-carpet but she was still very friendly and gave a fab interview. Now if only she could have remembered which direction she was supposed to walk in…..

The Real Housewives of NYC Countess Luann DeLesseps and Bethenny Frankel did their catwalk in Harve Leger and a private label. The two were on location filming season 2 of the Bravo hit! Afterwards the two dined at Sepia and headed over to party at Manor!

John Scunti of Rescue Me was in town for the whole weekend and made no mistake about where he was dining Saturday night- Gibsons Steak House. Scrunti swore up and down he could “out eat me” at any given time…I’m waiting!

Also spotted in the crowd were Noah Beans of Damages with his too cute lady escortsinger Josh Kelley, Susanna Homan and Phil Gordon (congrats on the baby!) professional poker player who happens to be a Cubs fan….but I’ll forgive him!

George Daniels was out and about Friday night as he attended Hale Berry ex/R&B singer Eric Benet’s party at Vision nightclub. My spies tell me Eric was a sad case just walking around the nightclub pouting and then finally sitting alone in the corner! Can you say KARMA boys and girls!

The Michigan Avenue Magazine  private reception with Bill Maher at Enclave was the place to be at Friday night!  Hot music, great drinks and the fashions were amazing! May I say Amanda Puck from The Experiential Agency is FIERCE!  People attending the event included: Bill Maher and Daniel Uslan (Midwest President and Publisher of Michigan Avenue magazine)

And now on to the JUICY stuff — the FASHION! TV personality and Chef Cat DeOrio was hot in Chloe, Managing editor of Michigan Ave. Lesley McKenzie looked stunning in a dark green number, wish I knew the designer?!  Julie Bensmen knows her fashion in Furla Boots and Susanna Homan wore Cynthia Rowley.

Rachel Schwanz of The Entertaining Company wore some Giuseppe shoes that I would’ve killed for and our very own Marcus Riley of NBC5 was looking very cool and sexy for ladies as ALWAYS! (wink!)

New entertainment news show 24/7 Chicago was on the scene working hard getting the scoop, with host Catie Keogh and exec. producer Collen Kelly.  And oh, the women! I worship Trevisn Kutti owner of G’bani who wore an outfit that made the whole room stop and look!  She was fabulous!  *snap, snap*

So if you missed this party, don’t worry the official September launch party for Michigan Avenue Magazine is right around the corner. And well be here to definitely give you the scoop 1st! FIERCE!!!!!
