CROQUETAS DE MARISCOS
The Sseafood croquettes are very nice: crispy, soft, with a pronounced shellfish flavor. But the tarragon emulsion got kind of lost in the lobster cream broth. But very nice nonetheless.
PELOTAS DE CALABAZA Y CORDERO
These butternut squash dumplings are ridiulously good, even without the lamb ragout they are normally topped with (I don’t need lamb). The sweet squash and the black truffle are a party in my mouth.
CEPES Y BUTIFARRA
This porcini and manchego flatbread is super lush, rich, soft, and the porcini is robust, earthy, and tender.
PULPO CON PATATAS
The octopus was a little less tender than I prefer, but the smoked paprika and confit potatoes more than made up for this small criticism.
COCKTAIL: EL BOLERO
A nice tequila drink with their house sweet and sour mix (which is absolutely perfect), but the muddled avocado adds nothing to this drink in terms of flavor or mouth feel. Actually, the little bits of avocado I’m getting with each sip are unpleasant.
