The voice of a Queens’ Reich is in the form of a classical tenor. The fluid rhythms are the perfect backdrop that blend so nicely into the multiple layers of driving yet sophisticated melodies. And when accompanied by a mesmerizing bombastic display of tribal beats with constantly changing tempos, that can only mean one thing: The Mighty Queensryche has come to town and is taking over Chicago! The Reich will be headquartered at The House of Blues this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday broadcasting THE MESSAGE and displaying the power and glory of their illustrious Reign. All Hail!
The prog/rock/pop/metal/operatic band’s roots began in 1981. They’ve sold over 20 million records worldwide and also won MTV’s ‘People’s Choice Award’ for Video of the Year, ‘Silent Lucidity’, in 1990, when MTV used to be watchable. After breaking through the mainstream BIG TIME back then, the band has continued staying true to their progressive art in ‘evolving’ to higher, more innovative sonic depths in exchange for the massive commercial success achieved in the early 1990’s.
The large and loyal Reich following has been bestowed Queensryche’s latest release called ‘American Soldier’. Singer/Songwriter Geoff Tate interviewed many American veterans ranging from World War II to Iraq and poetically tells their stories using only their words as the lyrics to all the songs. This is very heavy subject matter that amazingly has the musical score to match. Queensryche is the modern day version of Beethoven, Mozart, and Pink Floyd striving for new musical heights in compositions of epic proportions that touch your emotions and will be timeless throughout centuries. God Bless the Queen!
