Yesterday marked one month since the passing of Michael Jackson and the beginning of the Michael Jackson Thriller Zombie Walk in Wicker Park.
The Horror Society and Custom Vibes hosted this event where approximately 1,000 people joined together and dressed-up in zombie attire to honor the “King of Pop”.
The night began with a social hour where everyone was mingling in the center of Wicker Park; Michael Jackson’s tunes were playing, zombies were dancing, photos were being taken, makeup was being applied, edible fake blood was being sold and non-zombie onlookers gazed with amusement and confusion.
Once the zombies were gathered together they all walked and danced together, with traveling boomboxes, throughout the streets surrounding the park.
The Zombie Walk concluded with everyone walking through the Wicker Park Fest grounds where all the zombies danced to Michael Jackson’s “Thriller”.
After the walk, zombies were treated to their choices of two after parties held at the Debonair Social Club or the Members Only AV Loft.
