Natalia Avilez, NBC5 Street Team
Thanks to all you that were able to come out last night to our official Street Team party — all 135 of you that is. Although I got there 2 hours late, missing out on the open bar, and my phone was blowing up with texts of “where are you,” I finally made it! It was nice to finally meet many of my fellow Street Teamers, like the Fireman Jon Ibraham — The Local Tourist, Chasity Chaos, Shlomi, Relaxocat (thanks for the bunny ears), singer-songwriter Natalie, and others that I would have liked to have had more time to speak with. It was nice to get some feedback on many of my stories, it was a big ego boost!
Next time, I will definately get there early enough to mingle with the rest of you and meet with more of you. Thanks again to Marcus Riley and Jbar General Manager, Jimmy Koklas, for taking the time to speak with me and giving me the head count of the nights event. For those of you that were not able to make it, I will see you next time!

Hungry Z, NBC5 Street Team
After weeks of anticipation, the Street Team party finally arrived! Inside the the swanky JBar, this was a chance to meet fellow Street Teamers and our fans face to face. I arrived at 7:30pm and then abruptly left at 9pm.
Why the abrupt exit? Well, my lovely wife and daughter locked themselves out of our home, so good old Hungry Z had to come to the rescue. I included a pic of my beautiful ladies. Before my departure, I had the pleasure of meeting some of my fellow Street Teamers, even though it was far too brief. In that short time I met some of the coolest people anyone could hope to meet.
Paul “The Sports” Banks was on hand and it was cool to finally meet you, we’ll definately hang out soon. Theresa “The Local Tourist” , it was great to meet you, you’re probably the most well rounded blogger we’ve got here. Cara Carriveau, I love listening to you on the Mix, and I’m glad you enjoyed my Taste of Chicago adventure. Big D.C. of “Fete Select TV”, nice running into you and let’s collaberate on some things to help expand both of our growing universes. I briefly ran into John “The Fireman”, now we have officially met buddy. I very briefly met the lovely Liz Holland, thanks for the love in regards to the Taste. And of course Mr. Marcus Riley was on hand, and it’s always a pleasure to share an idea with you.
Finally I did run into a couple of fans before I left, so we snapped a pic before I had to run. Nikki and Lynn, thanks for coming and for all the love! I wish I could have stayed and met everyone, and I apalogize to everyone I missed tonight. But alas, my ladies needed me, and what’s a dad/husband to do, but help his family. Hope you all had fun and we need to do this again next year!

In the past few years that I’ve been writing my sex and dating column, and more recently my blog, I’ve received countless emails and posts asking every type of sex, dating, and relationship question known to man (and woman). Although I love interacting with the readers, they were just faceless names on the email heading in the vast of cyberspace. There was no personal interaction.
Now that me and my psychiatrist partner-in-crime, Dr. Paul Dobransky, record our NBC5 podcast “The Fireman and the Shrink,” our listeners connect with us so much that they wish they were in the conversation with us. Ladies, don’t you wish you could ask any question about sex, dating, and relationships and get a no-holds-barred answer from a male perspective? Well you’re in luck, because now you can!
Me and Dr. Paul will be appearing at JBar (inside the James Hotel, 610 N. Rush) this Thursday June 19th from 7 pm – 8:30pm. We’ll be answering questions at an open forum of ladies’ sex, dating, and relationship questions, and anything goes! We’ll also be interviewing and recording some podcasts with any ladies willing to be heard! And best of all, ladies, you’ll be in good company because the event is being brought to you by GalsGuide.com, THE site women turn to when they have questions about adjusting to life in the big city after college. And although it’s ladies’ night, guys, you’re invited too! It’s gonna be a blast, so hope to see you there!!
