Chicago is overflowing with incredible rock music. I know this because I get friend-requests on myspace daily from several local bands. Most are just amazing. I’m always floored by how hard bands are willing to work for the chance at hitting it big. Their talent and passion has to be extraordinary.

Absentstar is great example of a hardworking group of guys on the verge of something big. They often play live shows in Chicago to packed crowds. Absentstar is currently on tour with Third Eye Blind, playing in Chicago at The Loyola University Gentile Center on April 9. I had the pleasure of chatting with lead singer Derek Ingersoll for The Chicago Music Guide. Check it out here:
