Healthy Indian food seems like a bit of an oxymoron. Traditional Indian food tastes great, but the problem is, it’s often heavy cream, butter and fried meats that contribute to that intense flavor.
But a new South Loop Indian restaurant is turning that concept on its head. Chutney Joe’s (511 S. State Street) offers healthier Indian homestyle food in a fast-food type setting lightly modeled after Chipotle and Panda Express.
Dishes range from $5.99 and $7.99 each.
