It’s here again…that time of the year for the annual Gipsy Kings visit to Ravinia. I didn’t go last year but I heard it was a fantastic show. My first experience with them was in DC at the Wolf Trap (a similar venue to Ravinia) and it was an amazing evening with a world-renowned (Their own site says that they are the best selling  music group from France). So if you’re Lolla’ed out and want to salsa the Summer evening away while sipping on wine (or beer or my favorite Pama and Sprite), make it a point to get out to Ravinia www.ravinia.org.

The show has been sold out for a few days now but here’s a special nugget. Since the show is sold out, most people don’t venture out to Highland Park. So if you’re a risk taker (and you probably are if you’re reading this), get to Ravinia any way and more than likely, there’ll be someone who’s got extra tickets to unload at face value. And if you make it in, look for me…I’ll be the turbaned one in the crowd signing autographs
