Rikki Greenberg, NBC5 Street Team
With both the Chicago Cubs and the Chicago White Sox doing well this season, the ability to decide between which game to catch can be difficult. This is understandable because good baseball is good baseball…it does not discriminate against any particular team. However, if you’re going to make it in this city, you’re going to have to choose so here are the top five reasons why the boys in black and white are the team to see.
1) They are not the Cubs.
2) The “Go Cubs Go” song fans sing after every win will be absent from your ears. The sound of fans going ballistic and fireworks after a win is so much better!
3) Socializing with enthusiastic Chicago baseball fans will be easier because you won’t be blinded by the alarmingly bright red and blue colors found in other ball parks.
4) U.S. Cellular field is the one of the few places where A.J Perzinski doesn’t get booed.
5) Let’s face it ladies. If you suggest a Sox game as a date, major brownie points will be earned, not to mention the title of one of the coolest girls ever. So do your date a favor…Go to a Sox game and don’t be surprised if he thanks you for one of the greatest dates of all time.
Of course, there are more than five reasons to go see the Sox so feel free to add if I have left any out. If there are reasons to go see a Cubs game, than add those too. I’m all about bringing as many people to the ball park as possible.
Go Sox!

The concessions are also 200% better than Wrigley…Oh, and the men don’t need to use a trough when going to the restroom.
That’s right! I actually heard about the troughs on the radio…this man was describing how awful they are! Thanks for the comment
When I met A.J. at a presser in ’06 I understood why he is so disliked. I’ll have to tell you that story sometime. As long as Pierzynski is on our side though, he’s cool. I loved the “Punch A.J.” All-Star voting campaign in 2006.
Let’s get Dye in this year! this is Chicago so “vote early, vote often”
