On a chilly Tuesday evening, the clouds parted when a couple of lovely ladies blessed me with an extra ticket to the advanced screening of the Sex And The City movie. AHHH!!! After the initial freak-out in excitement, I headed over to the AMC Theatre on Illinois to witness, first-hand, the phenomena. The line wrapped the length of the lobby THREE TIMES! (see photo)
Once inside, the “pink” carpet live at the New York City premiere. I’ll be the first to judge when I say the clothes on the carpet were less than flattering. While the costume designer, Patricia Fields, acted less than sober as she stumbled all over the carpet and confused an Academy Award (Oscar) for Oscar De La Renta, but no bother, I had a movie to see.
And what a movie it was. In the words of Stephen Colbert, “I laughed, I cried, I lost 15 pounds.” It was the icing on the cake to a TV show that meant so much to so many women. In my opinion, the two-hour and fifteen minute film, gave you just the right amount of Sex. However, there won’t be any spoilers in this blog. Will Carrie and Mr. Big have their happily-ever-after? Well, that’s for me to know and you to find out for yourself on Friday!

Can’t wait to see!!! Glad to hear you give it a “thumbs up!”
Ooooh! I am jealous, girl. I have to wait until Saturday, when some of my girls are coming over to drink cosmos before heading out to see SATC. If you want to see it again, you’re welcome to join us!
I sincerely hope that more girls go see this movie with their girlfriends instead of dragging their boyfriends to see it with them. The first scenario I described is a win-win for everyone!
